“It was too boring for my soul to handle, I was stuck in a place filled with foolish hope for a better life, in a place where everybody swallowed god and laws without thinking, in a place where everybody wanted to go to college and get a job then marry someone they relatively know, in a place where nobody wanted to talk about philosophy, psychology or even the stars.. I felt different, I didn’t believe in any god, going to college was the least of my concerns, the idea of marriage made me cringe and i always had this urge to talk about everything there is to talk about with anyone, I wanted a way out that wouldn’t cost me my sanity, i wanted to be somewhere else, somewhere where i wouldn’t feel so goddamn stuck.” – Unknown, from Tumblr
China Photo Diary
Some of my favourite photos from my trip to China! I finally got around to editing them after binge-playing The Sims 4 for a week. My camera roll is a nightmare to sort through – most of them are just pictures of flowers, random scenery shots and my dad. I am obsessed with the cherry (?) blossoms blooming all over the country. Spring is officially my favourite season!
P.S. Watch my China Video Diary here.

Watercolor Doodles
Tad-ah! The results of having too much free time over Spring Break. I tried to resurrect my watercolor painting skills after 4 years of non-creative existence. The last time I touched a paintbrush was back in high school! How time flies. My skills are so damn rusty its embarrassing. Oh, and I ran out of watercolor paper so, yeah.

Design Diary: 2012 Yearbook
Here’s a full online PDF version of my batch’s Kinfolk-inspired yearbook that my friend and I have been working on! We did everything from scratch, the two of us. From recruiting photographers, creating concepts, styling, scheduling and supervising all the photoshoots and photo-editing process, to designing the book itself. We even took it to get printed ourselves and had to load up all 80 hard-cover copies of them into my car. We spent hours before prom night putting the final touches together – we even ended up being late for prom.
It was tough, because usually yearbook committees have more than just two people, but we made it work. She’s the best teammate, or should I say, Co-Editor, I could ever ask for.

Vitamin Sea
The best cure for homesickness and college blues: a short trip to the beach.
This is Wediombo Beach in Wonosari, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Its a grueling two hour drive away from the city, but its definitely worth it. On weekdays, the beach is as good as deserted, and the low tide in the morning reveals calm, crystal clear rock pools you can dip your feet in.
